KIC to Showcase Automatic Profiling and Present at SMTA Long Island Expo & Tech Forum

SAN DIEGO, CA — September 2026 — KIC, a global leader in thermal process intelligence and automated profiling solutions, will exhibit at the SMTA Long Island Expo & Tech Forum on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at the Marriott Melville Long Island in Melville, New York. KIC General Manager Miles Moreau will also present “Automatic Reflow Profiling: Closing the Data Gap in SMT Process Control.”

During his presentation, Moreau will examine one of the persistent challenges in SMT manufacturing: the gap between periodic thermal profiling and continuous production. Traditional profiling provides critical information about the reflow process, but typically represents a snapshot in time. Automatic profiling extends that visibility into production, providing manufacturers with ongoing thermal process data that can support stronger process control, traceability, and continuous improvement.

Moreau will discuss how automatic reflow profiling can help manufacturers move beyond periodic process verification by capturing actionable thermal data during production. This expanded visibility gives engineering and production teams greater insight into process performance while reducing dependence on manual profiling and production interruptions.
